I wandered lonely as a cloud, daddy-o...

I may polish this later. But for now:
Atropos
One may ask not just how Atropos cuts the thread, but how she ties it up.
Some she allows to split up and un-un-rav-val int-t-t-toooo m-man-ny l-l-l-loos-s-s-s end-d-d-d-d-s…
Some she ties into a simple knot,
Neat and clean, as one small dot.
Some she twists and tangles, crumpling on
itself, as though she’s crushed
it in her fist, going this way
and that,
curved, and curled, and untraceable
and just a mess snarled upon a
hunk of draggled thread.
Some just end.
Some are done with the most elegant charm,
So beautiful in complex, utter art
Of thread, giving Athena sore alarm –
Not just Arachnae makes bitter her heart.
But Ergane may not the Moirae harm
Nor dare she interfere with any part.
And dare I suggest that these are the best?
Eternal splendor trumps eternal rest.
Some she gently loops, tying the end to the beginning so that one may ask not just how Atropos cuts the thread, but how she ties it up.

Apropos to Atropos
In Atropos' lair
the spinning's unending
a resolute flair
she adds to beginnings and endings
tough breaks and heart aches
the win by omission
the impossible mile
the human condition
all find their way
in methods no limit
in binding mere mortals
to their lives within it
the roads that we travel,
and things apropos to them,
are Atropos play thing
and ours to work through then.
