My T/A in Physical Anthropology class asked about my DC sweatshirt while we were in lab, so I told her the real story about DC, basically that it is a place where political conservatives can discuss science without getting attacked by the torch-and-pitchfork crowd. I didn't mention the name of TOS, of course, but told her about the bannings. She was stunned to learn that there was actually a forum that banned scientists and science-minded people. I told her that "if the library of Alexandria still existed, they'd burn it all over again".

One thing she said was kind of funny: "I guess this proves that you don't have to be a liberal to be an Anthropologist".

I too would like a sweatshirt that has the "Darwin Central: Corrupting the World's Youth Since 1859" logo.

Got my DC gear yesterday. Really good quality stuff. I love the coaster and mug. I wore the dark t-shirt today.

I wore mine to work yesterday. No one said anything, but there was a note about the "dress code" on the daily the next day.

It surely hasn't anything to do with the multiple facial piercings of the girls in my department and the department next door. Or the guy who comes in everyday looking like a homeless fella.

I'm curious as to how the DC loot thing works. Do we have to purchase a certain amount of stuff (as an organization), or do they make the stuff to order?

The reason that I am asking is that the raptor club wants to buy a new batch of t-shirts and sweatshirts to sell (mostly to members, or at fairs) but we don't want to create a huge inventory. Money is a factor.

CafePress is a print-on-demand outfit - they don't maintain an inventory, they just create it as it's ordered.
