I keep wondering why I get polled when a) I am not on any voter registration list and b) I am ineligible to vote. They keep calling me anyway.

While Nero's class warfare "tax the rich scheme" is liked by many people, reducing spending is still very high on their list of ways to reduce the deficit.

This poll shows a strong bump up for Nero's disapprove - approve/disapprove now at +7 disapprove. If real, that's a good thing for us. BTW, the number for strongly disapprove should be 41% in that top line.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_ ... ex_history

How much higher would that be if the Republicans had someone with half a brain running for the nomination?

The only state nomination numbers new from the last time is Gingrich with +13 in Georgia. In GA Gingrich + Santorum comes in at 53% and Romney with a meager 19%. Since much of the base is the South, Romney's not looking too good there.

Today's polls -

MI RvS Romney 1.2 (4 polls)
AZ RvS Romney 16.5 (2 polls)
OH RvS Santorum 7

MI appears to be a tossup. Romney has AZ well in hand. In Ohio, though Santorum has the lead.

The Santorum "surge" seems to be due to Democratic mischief.

It may very well be time for the GOP to shift to closed primaries and caucuses.

The GOP had their chance to correct the issues with open primaries for 4 years and didn't. Apparantly they are satisfied with the way things are now. They don't call them the stupid party for nothing.

To be fair, all partisan primaries are open in Michigan. Voters are not registered by party and you can ask for any ballot you want. I was voter #4 in a large, deep blue MI precinct (1D, 2R ballots before me) with well over a thousand registered voters this morning an hour after the polls opened. If operation mischief is in effect, no one gives a damn here.

Romney has banked a huge lead in early voting.

It's gonna be close, but the UAW has given Romney the same sort of cover that they gave George W. Bush in 2000: "Santorum's the choice of the Democrats."

A completely invented issue. Fear mongering from the Democrats works so well.

Someone apparently does.

Michael Moore: "My Democratic Friends Will Vote For Santorum"

"I have to tell you a lot of my Democratic friends will vote for Santorum in something they are calling Operation Hilarity," Michael Moore said at the end of an interview with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow.

According to the Daily Kos, who launched this campaign, Operation Hilarity is "an opportunity for Democrats to actually help prolong this election a little bit longer because we’ve seen that the longer this drags out, the worse it is for Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum and the best it is for Barack Obama."

New numbers for GA

GA -nomination - Gingrich 15

in GA, Romney vs Nero, Romney 7
in GA, Santorum vs Nero, Santorum 4
in GA, Gingrich vs Nero, Gingrich 4
in GA, Paul vs Nero, Paul 4

So for a true red state, it basically makes no difference.

I think Michael Moore doesn't have as many friends as he thinks he does.

Very low profile primary here - I have not seen a single yard sign in my area. Not one.

Michael Moore has lots of friends--well, he'll have them as long as he has money.

The dems know that bringing up social issues will distract from the economy. The contraception issue is one perfect example. It's making GOP heads explode. It's like playing a negative "socon" card. It's a very real wedge issue. Notice how less time s spent on the economy now? This issue is a brilliant political strategic move on the part of the dems.

Super Tuesday Poll in a very important state:

Santorum up 11 over Romney - Ohio.

Let's get these primaries over and either Romney or Santorum officially nominated. I'm curious to see how Gary Johnson—the fellow I believe I'll be supporting—polls in a three-way match up.

Delegates from Michigan

15-15 even split. Can't say Romney won with those numbers.

He did. This is a perception game, not a delegate game.
