The pundits may as well declare this election over: Nearly two-thirds of Americans think Barack Obama would do better at handling an alien invasion than Mitt Romney, according to a poll commissioned by National Geographic.

Could be worse. "To Serve Man" could be the title of a tennis instruction manual.

(CNN) - New polls released Thursday indicate President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are essentially tied in three battleground states for the presidential race.
The president holds a slight advantage over his Republican rival in Michigan and North Carolina while polling dead-even with Romney in New Hampshire, according to the new NBC-Marist surveys. All three states' results fall within the sampling error for their respective polls.

Washington (CNN) - Thursday's landmark Supreme Court decision upholding the country's health care law appears to have had exactly zero impact on the presidential election so far, and has produced virtually no change in opinions on President Barack Obama or Republican challenger Mitt Romney, according to a new national poll.
And while the CNN/ORC International survey released Monday indicates the president with a very slight three point edge over Romney among registered voters nationwide, the presumptive GOP nominee appears to hold an eight point advantage among voters who live in the 15 states considered in play in the race for the White House. ...

However, in the 15 states CNN calls its battleground states — Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin — Romney leads Obama, 51 percent to 43 percent. Notably, though, the CNN/ORC International group includes three states thought to be comfortably in the Romney column this cycle: Arizona, Indiana, and Missouri.

The Hill Poll: Majority of voters believe Obama has changed country for worse
Two-thirds of likely voters say President Obama has kept his 2008 campaign promise to change America — but it’s changed for the worse, according to a sizable majority.
A new poll for The Hill found 56 percent of likely voters believe Obama’s first term has transformed the nation in a negative way, compared to 35 percent who believe the country has changed for the better under his leadership.
The results signal broad voter unease with the direction the nation has taken under Obama’s leadership and present a major challenge for the incumbent Democrat as he seeks reelection this fall.

Personally, I think Scott Brown is just squishy enough to keep the seat. (think Jake Javitts, and Al D'Amato) And nuzzling up to O'Bammy's scrotes ain't helping Princess Nearaquios.
